Wow, how so many things have changed since I last posted... Married in our own home with a beautiful daughter, experienced anxiety and depression for a moment after being made redundant last year, but luckily got a job soon after.  Lost my nan in late 2019, spoke to my Dad in the first time in ages, then heard nothing since. Now look at 2020 during this pandemic, been working from home for around 13 weeks now, have so many ups and downs while being in the house alone. One thing I keep trying to come back to is - let's do something creative.  I have a new colouring book to start and many ideas going round my head to look at. I am determine

Hi! :) Well I was looking at DA recently and noticed I had not posted a journal since October last year, yet I can confirm this does not mean I have been doing nothing since then, I have just been a little preoccupied with family matters at the end of last year as my dear uncle died in January 2012, while also keeping my mind active by creating a googlesite documenting the whole thought process and development of this Diorama Project. https://sites.google.com/site/mydioramaproject/ I am slowly getting round to actually creating something that I can show, it is taking me some time because I am very particular about what I want to create, I

Diorama Project

I'm looking to do something creative in my time as playing video games is annoying and sometimes seems too repetitive.  As I have a crazy imagination and years ago I bought some Space Marine and Lizardmen miniatures I have thought about trying to use them and create a scene, using various materials I aim to design and create something that will tell a story. I have been researching miniatures, models, model scenery, model painting, craft making, all sorts of things that may be able to help with the creation of the end result.  Over the past week or two I have found some amazing websites relating to various model creating techniques and some

Thank you for including my Regnum map among your favorites.
you're welcome, I have been designing a map of my own for a fictional story I am trying to put together... so trying to find reference and inspiration like your work is great.

So I have only designed 1 (very big) map as I am also looking at many other aspects of the world I am creating.

I have added some of my work on:

Nice! Much the same story for me. I started doing cartography so I could draw the maps for a novel manuscript I wrote. A year later, I spend far more time making maps than I do editing the story.

If you like the technique I use, Google "Eriond Tutorial Arsheesh". That's the basic approach I use for the terrain, and I'm quite fond of it.
thank you for the watch! c:
